Anastasia Karantelou is a Dietitian-Nutritionist graduate of the Technological Educational Institution of Thessaly.
As part of her internship, she worked at the Nutrition Department and the Diabetology Department of the General Hospital of Kavala.
She also completed an internship at the Food Technology Department of Latvia University of Agriculture and the Horticultural Institute in Latvia.
Since 2018, she has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders as a Master Practitioner on eating disorders and obesity from the Center for Nutritional Disorders Education (KEADD) with the certification of the National Center for Eating Disorders of Great Britain (NCFED).
She offers therapeutic nutritional plans for the treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, psychogenic obesity and EDNOS (eating disorders not otherwise specified).
Ideologically, she is not in line with the conventional dietary practices that promote compulsive calorimetry and rapid but short term weight loss.
Her approach is holistic and focuses on reconciling the person with the food and the their body image.
She stands by the vegan lifestyle and offers nutritional support for people who want to or are already following a vegetarian or a vegan diet.
She continues her scientific training through seminars on nutrition, psychology and physical activity.
In addition to her duties as a dietitian-nutritionist, she is also a columnist for the online diet software blog evexis.
